OVERVIEW View Conference Agenda

Edinburgh is one of the world's leading cities with a unique mixture of business, arts, geography, architecture and history. These assets allow it to punch well above its weight globally relative to its size. Its strongest asset however is its people.

Taking 'strong' and 'smart' as its themes this conference focuses on how Edinburgh's economy, communities and Council can develop in strength with and for people in the Edinburgh City Region.

Edinburgh plays a critical role in the success of the wider Scottish economy. The health and vitality of Edinburgh as a city is therefore important both to Edinburgh residents and business and to a much broader range of partners.

In this 3rd annual City of Edinburgh Council conference we will discuss:

  • Strong Economy and Smart City
  • A Successful City Region
  • Partnering with Business
  • Globally Competitive, Digitally Enabled City
  • Strong Communities and Smart People
  • Strong Communities and Smart People: The Foundations for Success
  • Knowledge Economy Partnership: Excellence and Inclusion
  • The Good Habits of Excellent Cities
  • Strong Council and Smart Services
  • Reimagining Public Services for Edinburgh
  • Scotland Public Services 2020
  • Smart Services: Demand Responsive, Consumer Driven

Conference places are limited and by invitation only.  If you would like to attend please register your interest by contacting Ruth on 0131 556 1500 or email rcoutts@mackayhannah.com.   We cannot guarantee a delegate place based on registering an interest but we will reply as early as possible to let you know if we are able to include you as a delegate.
