The Only Scottish Conference and Award for Executive Secretaries and PAs

Our 2015 event will be the 8th year that we have been awarding and celebrating excellence in Scottish PAs and Executive Secretaries.

We are delighted to be returning to Glasgow in 2015 and aim to set the stage with another engaging, informative and knowledgeable platform of speakers. ACES has become the event in the Scottish PA calendar and is a must attend for the profession.

The focus of the 8th conference will be on developing and enhancing skills for the ever evolving role of the PA. PAs are no stranger to juggling a number of responsibilities and indeed roles, but how can you work smarter not harder? How can you develop and build on your current skills? What can you be doing to better support each other?

ACES 2015 will provide the opportunity to:

  • Hear about the latest trends and developments in the profession
  • Meet with PAs and Executive Secretaries from across Scotland
  • Learn new skills and enhance existing skill sets
  • Discuss the role of mentoring and networking
  • Vote for the Scottish PA of the year

What are people saying about ACES?

Live vote for PA of the Year Award 2015

After a day of training and development the PAs then have the job of deciding the winner of the Scottish PA of the Year Award in our live vote.

Once the winner is announced and the award presentation complete, delegates will then be able to relax and enjoy the sparkling wine reception.

2014 Winner - Gail Welsh

Our 2014 judges, Victoria Darragh from Hays and Joan Sefarini from Equator Events, had the difficult task of shortlisting a record breaking number of entries from across Scotland.

Victoria said: "Gail is clearly well recognised across the college sector for her work as a PA and is adding a lot of value to her organisation as well, which is really important and shows pure dedication. I was also super impressed with her setting up the ESPA Network.'

The role of the PA is in a state of flux and evolution. For the first time in their history, Assistants are starting to get the recognition that they deserve as strategic business partners and not just as a support mechanism. That's why events like ACES are so important. They celebrate and recognise the role and its importance while encouraging Assistants to take control of their personal development, and drive their own career agendas.
