The conference will seek to:

• explore four main themes -
• *How to Make Licensing Policy Work
• *How to Manage Licensing Policy
• *How to Process Licensing Applications
• *How to Enforce Licensing Policy
• provide participants with a timely opportunity to share ideas, experiences and good practice
• review the opening round of licensing applications (to be submitted by 1 March 2008)
• assess how both regulators and licensees are adapting to the demands of the new legislation
• and outline which additional measures, if any, need to be adopted to ensure the Act's smooth transition into law.
