Care Inspectorate Publishes Report on Complaints about Care

The Care Inspectorate yesterday published its report examining trends in complaints received about care services in the past three years, 2014/15 and 2016/17.

Whilst most people in Scotland experience high-quality care, investigating complaints can help improve things when they aren’t good enough.  The report demonstrates that the number of complaints about care services in Scotland has decreased and the overall quality of social care generally has remained high.

The most common area of complaint was about people's general health and welfare or a specific healthcare concern, followed by concerns about staff and communications.
