New Transport Infrastructure for Scotland: 3rd Annual Conference
Scottish Infrastructure Commission launches first call for evidence
15th Mar 2019
The Infrastructure Commission for Scotland (ICS) has launched its first of a number of rounds of engagement, seeking the opinions of individuals on Scotland’s future infrastructure investment priorities. The result of the process will help shape a 30-year strategy of infrastructure investment in Scotland.
The ICS has been established to provide the Scottish Government with independent, informed advice on the vision, ambition and priorities for a long-term strategy for infrastructure in Scotland, to meet its future economic growth and societal needs.
Ian Russell, chair of the Infrastructure Commission for Scotland, has said: “We are keen to hear from individuals, organisations and bodies working across all elements and aspects of infrastructure.
“This is a rare opportunity to contribute towards advising on the long-term strategy for Scotland’s vital infrastructure.
“This first phase of engagement will also allow us to shape future engagement phases that aim to capture the expertise and opinions of people from across industry, business, the public sector, academia, civic society and the wider public.”
